'In the Footsteps of Claude Monet'
"To tell once again a story that has already been told. To experience the same sense of wonder once captured on canvas. To feel the French sun on my skin."
In June and July 2026, together with my wife, Greta Wikiera, a photographer, I embarked on an artistic journey through Normandy and Île-de-France. We returned to the places where Claude Monet lived and painted, including Giverny, Dieppe, and Étretat.
Working en plein air, I looked for the beauty of changing light, the atmosphere of each moment, and the constantly changing landscape. This project was also a tribute to Claude Monet, marking the 100th anniversary of his death in 2026.
To conclude the project, an exhibition of my paintings was held on 5 July at the historic Claude Monet House in Vétheuil.
Below are all the paintings I created during the "In the Footsteps of Claude Monet" project.
