"During the day, the temperature exceeded 40 degrees Celsius. It was torture, and I focused my thoughts only on surviving until evening. Forecasts indicated an approaching storm and a change in weather. In the evening, the wind began to blow stronger and stronger, the cornfield began to dance to the rhythm of more powerful gusts, and the first thunder rumbled in the distance. Finally, the downpour came. The storm was intense, but with it came a breath of fresh air from the heat. I wasn't going to paint that day, but I noticed that the rain clouds left beautiful streaks in the sky, and additionally, the setting Sun made its presence felt, creating a beautiful, warm light. I painted this picture in less than an hour, just before dusk."
The painting was created as part of the 'Following in the Footsteps of Claude Monet' project in France.
This painting is available for sale now, but its physical shipment will take place after the exhibition presenting the entire 'Following in the Footsteps of Claude Monet' collection in Poland (October 9-11, 2026) ends, no later than October 31, 2026.
The painting is sold without a frame and without varnish.
